At Memorial Hospital for Children handles all outpatient procedure scheduling coordination,
with a commitment to finding a time and location that best meets each
patient’s needs. Here’s what you can expect…
- The Order—your child’s doctor’s office will fax us a copy of the script ordering a procedure at Memorial.
- Insurance Authorization—upon
receiving an order, Scheduling confirms that all Medicare procedures
have a diagnosis and are considered medically necessary in order to help
ensure insurance authorization.
- Actual Scheduling—you
should receive a call within 24 to 48 hours of us receiving a physician
order to schedule your child’s procedure. If you haven’t heard from us
within a few days of your child’s doctor’s appointment, please call your
doctor’s office or Memorial Scheduling at (719) 365-5240 for more
information.
- Procedure Support—schedulers
will advise you on any necessary preparation efforts that must be
followed in order to complete a scheduled procedure.
