Memorial Hospital for Children was founded upon the
belief that all children need a hospital just for them. Children’s
bodies and minds aren’t that of an adult, simply smaller in size.
Children have unique developmental needs requiring a spectrum of
services geared toward them.
Through Memorial Hospital for Children, every
child—from preemies to teenager—in Colorado Springs and southern
Colorado has access to some of the country’s best health care—health
care that combines quality with compassion and always involves families
in health care decision-making for their children.
We are the regional referral center for high-risk obstetrics,
neonatal and pediatric care. We also have the only Level IIIb neonatal
intensive care unit (NICU) and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) in
southern Colorado. The Level IIIb designation means we are fully
equipped with the expertise and equipment to provide comprehensive care
to those newborn infants at extremely high-risk or who have the most
complex to critical illnesses.
