About Memorial

As a cornerstone of the Colorado Springs community for more than a century, Memorial Health System is a leading employer, provider of comprehensive health care services and community partner. For general information about Memorial Health System, visit our site.

As a community-owned hospital, Memorial ultimately reports to the citizens of Colorado Springs through our City Council. Our leaders also include a City Council-appointed board of trustees and hospital administration. Unlike most community-owned hospitals, we do NOT receive any taxpayer support, yet we contribute more than $80 million per year back to the community.

In addition to providing preventive, diagnostic, treatment and recovery health care services, Memorial offers numerous health and wellness classes and events throughout the year. These services are made possible by the support of nearly 5,000 employees, making Memorial one of the city’s largest employers. For information about becoming a member of our Memorial Health System team, check out the Employment section of our site.

Because the health of a community relies on all of its citizens, not just its health care providers, we encourage you to become involved in Memorial Health System. Your path to making the difference in the lives of your family, friends and neighbors can be through donating money, donating blood or volunteering with one of the state’s most successful and largest volunteer programs.
